Easiest and Hardest part of unit 3!
Today my group met for the 4th time. It was a good meeting. We all had our parts that we said we would bring. So far I think our project is going really well! I would say the hardest part about the project would be my contributions. It is not just me I will stress out if I don't have it on time it is my group members as well. I want it to be good and not embarrass my self in front of them. I think the easiest part of it would be that its fun and its not all about me. I get to hear other peoples ideas and know that I am not alone in it. I really like my group members and our ideas. We all get along and its been fun so far! Yay! Have a good Thanksgiving!

2008 concession and victory speeches
While I went back and re-listened to the victory and concession speechs of Obama and McCain I was noticeing that they both said very respectful speeches. I really enjoyed McCain's speech especially. He was not bashing Obama at all and he was very focused on the future of America. He lovese this country and made it very obvious. He brought out Obama's grandmother, which at first thought could be a little weird, but in the end I felt like he was just being sencere. He developed alot of ethos with his respect for what the outcome was and blaming it on him. The audience was the people of Arizona as well as the whole United States of America, as it was televised. The people shown on TV watching him seemed to really respect him and understand him well. I also looked at the video of Palin on webiolography on Ecollege. This interview was very interesting to me. I thought she stayed in contol and really just wishes the best future for America. In the end, I feel that all the candidates were truly in it for the future of the country and the people. I thought McCain's concession speech was one of his best speeches. It ended up leaving him on really good terms with America.

John Kerry's Concession Speech 2004
I choose John Kerry's Concession Speech from the 2004 election. He made his speech at his home town in Massachusetts. Most of his speech consists of thanks yous, thank yous, and more thank yous. He told his speech in a very mature and educated manor. He used good grammar with short sentences. I think this makes his speech very effective and to the point. He creates a lot of pathos with thanking them, as well as addressing everyone and telling them to hang in there. His ethos are obvious, as he is the loosing candidate from the election. They are also created by him saying things could not have been done with out all his family and his partner John Edwards. The logos are brought out more him excepting that Bush has won but he will still be there with the people. This speech, to me, is a very good speech and very caring. He is polite to Bush, his audience, his family, and his partner. He has excepted the results and says he will still be there to help all the people that helped him.
